JC Kibombo was born in Goma, in the North Kivu province, a region rich in culture and music. From a young age, he was immersed in an environment where traditional Congolese rhythms and music played a central role in community life. Very early on, JC developed a passion for singing and playing the guitar, joining his neighborhood orchestra. These first experiences allowed him to develop his musical sense of rhythm.

In 2010, JC Kibombo officially entered the music scene with the release of his first album, “Preuve à l’appui.” This debut allowed him to showcase his unique style, blending Congolese rumba, soul, and contemporary Soukous influences. The album was well received in local music circles and helped him build a loyal audience in Goma and the surrounding regions.

Three years later, in 2013, he released his second album, “Plan des génies,” which confirmed his ability to create original, high-quality compositions. With this album, JC reinforced his reputation as a committed singer and talented songwriter, able to connect with audiences through lyrics that are both personal and universal. His songs explore a wide range of themes, from love and family to social and community issues.

JC Kibombo is also recognized for his live performances. In 2014, he took part in the Festival Amani with the song “Mutu atche na amani,” leaving a strong impression with his energy and ability to convey deep emotions. This performance increased his visibility and expanded his audience beyond Goma, reaching national and international listeners.

JC Kibombo’s style is deeply rooted in Congolese musical traditions. His influences range from classic Congolese rumba to contemporary African music, and he identifies his own sound as Soukous fusion and Rumba. This combination allows him to create music that is both authentic and universal, highlighting his Congolese African roots.

The lyrics of his songs reflect his commitment to society and culture. They address themes such as love, resilience, social justice, and hope. For JC, music is a way to tell stories, preserve cultural memory, and convey positive messages to his community.
