Born in Goma, in the North Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Voldie Mapenzi grew up in a region rich in culture and musical traditions. From a very young age, she discovered music and showed a remarkable vocal talent.

In 2008, she took a significant step forward when she caught the attention of the Yole!Africa Cultural Exchange Center, which welcomed her to perform on stage. This early recognition marked the beginning of her artistic journey.

Originally from Goma, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Voldie Mapenzi has emerged as one of the rising voices of Congolese Afro-pop. From a young age, she nurtured a passion for singing and began participating in musical competitions and contests.

In 2010, she gained recognition in the Vodacom Superstar competition, which opened the doors to a professional career. Three years later, her involvement in the song “Mutuache na Amani”, the official anthem of the Festival Amani, confirmed her artistic and social commitment to peace and cohesion in the Great Lakes region.

Gifted with a powerful and expressive voice, Voldie developed a unique style that blends modern Afropop, traditional Congolese rhythms, and urban influences. Her discography includes several notable singles, such as “We Go We Go” and “Faute ya Commerçant.”

In 2022, she reached a new milestone with the release of her first EP, “9”, a project that highlights her artistic maturity and solidifies her musical identity.
